This is a rare but amazing opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to joining a truly innovative and rapidly growing Technology and Science Organisation.
Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, you will be looking at creating a strategy across your spend areas, and as a result create some beneficial cost savings, improve current supplier delivery but most importantly ensure service meets business needs
Role and responsibilities:
* Work at an ever changing, fast paced speed and able to juggle projects in your own time
* Exposure to a wide range of spend areas, from FM, Technology, IT, Capex and general Services
* Proven experience in the use of category management processes to deliver significant benefits to the organisation
* Full end to end procurement, from initiation to contract draft and signature
* A broad knowledge and experience achieved within both Private and Public Sector procurement environments including use of the Public Contract Regulations and OJEU
* Experience of operating in a fast-paced and developing procurement environment and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
* The character and ability to work under pressure and deliver challenging targets on an enduring and sustainable basis as part of a co-located team
* A self-starter but who can also hit the ground running
Experience and requirements:
* Multi-category experience, capable of taking on a new spend area
* Covered a really wide range of indirect categories, able to adapt to fully ad-hoc project basis
* Knowledge and experience in Public and Private Sector procurement environments including the use of Public Contract Regulations and OJEU
* Confident and credible when dealing with highly knowledgeable some very senior stakeholders
* Technical or Commercial Experience of operating in a customer facing role within a complex scenarios
* Degree or CIPS preferable but not essential
