This is a brand new position in the business, off the back of a new idea to centralise all procurement spend across 4 brands of the business. It is absolutely vital that you have deep knowledge, understanding and experience of working on Connectivity, Networks, Telco and Transmission Equipment procurement projects.

Working a group business, within the telecoms, connectivity and transmission industry, you will ideally have a deep understanding of the supplier market and know all the key suppliers – as well as support on some general service based procurement projects. This poses a great challenge for someone to use their experience and rationalise suppliers, implement central contracts for economies of scale and whilst keeping a strategy focus in mind, create some cost savings.

Role and responsibilities:

* Report directly into the Group Finance Director
* Conducting a forward looking opportunity analysis on current and future suppliers
* Sourcing, negotiation and management of key contracts, acting as an SME to key stakeholders
* Ares of pend to manage; technical equipment, services and general spend including insurance and FM
* Manage some high spend, complex projects and gritty negotiations with Tier 1 suppliers
* Advise senior stakeholders in the business such as CTO, CEO and IT Directors in each of the company arms

Experience and requirements:

* Highly experience in the Connectivity, Networks, Telco and Transmission Equipment supplier market
* Any general indirect procurement experience across IT, Marketing, Engineering and General Services is advantageous
* Can talk about some large scale, complex negotiations you have led and managed
* Work in a cross-functional environment, consistently looking the benefit the groups commerciality
* Able to build strong and lasting relationships using being an SME to gain credibility
* Confident in juggling multiple projects at a fast pace
* CIPS or relevant degree is preferable but not essential
