Newly created role to join a well-established manufacturing organisation based in Kent and operating on a hybrid working model. Our client are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager who will be a highly organised individual who can switch between responsibilities and someone who can balance nurturing supplier relations and vicious negotiating to gain the best pricing possible.
Day to day responsibility will include:
* Develop and implement various strategies to drive value on the allocated category of spend.
* Manage the tender process and negotiations
* Drive continuous improvement within the supply base and deliver a pipeline of value engineering projects to reduce easyJet spend.
* Support supplier relationship management policies to ensure consistent practises and develop supplier relationships.
Experience required:
* Minimum of 5 years procurement experience within a manufacturing industry
* Thorough understanding of costs from source to destination.
* Project Management capability
* Proven track record of delivering category growth and cost savings
* Understanding of product technical requirements.
