This is an amazing opportunity to join a marketing leading, Top 10 Accountancy, Consulting and Advisory firm who are a £ multi-billion turnover business employing almost 90,000 staff, on a truly global scale. The role is to support the Head of Procurement, being very stakeholder focused across all spend disciplines such as IT, FM, Professional Services, HR, Marketing, Travel and Communications.
The business are looking for someone with really strong stakeholder management experience, who have pro-actively approach stakeholders across all levels up to Board members and discuss forward thinking procurement strategies for their relevant area. The overall objectives for this position are to create cost benefits, the highest, most efficient service delivery, minimise risks and gain control of all current and new contracts. You’ll be a key part in rolling out the procurement strategy across the business using your extensive experience to drive things forward.
Role and responsibilities:
* Identify internal senior stakeholders and business leads to understand their individual needs
* Post-analyse the company’s spend and suppliers, start to implement and develop group procurement
* Manage and influence internal stakeholders on supplier improvements using market knowledge
* Act truly as a Business Partner to key stakeholders, acting as an advisor
* Set out supplier SLA’s to ensure that various vendors and hitting quality of service
* Using strategic sourcing methods, identify new suppliers for cost or delivery improvements
* Ongoing supplier and vendor management, reviewing current supply base and renegotiating where needed
* Sell the true benefits of using procurement to the firm and relevant stakeholders
Experience and requirements:
* Proven procurement experience across general indirect. Corporate services spend
* Worked within Financial, Accountancy or Professional Services industries – preferable but not essential
* Implemented procurement processes into a firm from an immature function
* Worked in a truly global, blue chip business that is ever changing
* Experience of influencing senior level stakeholders, and able to relay examples
* Developed group wide sourcing and supplier management processes
* Confident, adaptable and able to juggle multiple projects in a busy environment
* Degree or MCIPS qualified, preferable but not essential
