One of the world’s largest travel and aviation groups have a truly exciting opportunity to join the group, global procurement function, to manage one of the most intricate, interesting and key spend areas that ensures the success of the company.
The role is a Global Category Lead – Engines, Nacelles & APU, where you will be owning spend across all brands within the group that relate to any services or products for the engines of the planes. You will be dealing with some of the companies most senior and longest standing stakeholders to advise and influence them, to maximise procurement buying power.
No doubt this will be a challenging, fast paced and rewarding role, in a highly dynamic industry, where you will be exposed to multi-cultural environments across the globe.
Role and responsibilities:
* Work on 3 to 5 year strategic category plans within your designated spend area
* Responsible for developing and embedding global sourcing strategies
* Actively manage and influence stakeholders in all brands and regions they operate
* Analyse and re-negotiate existing contracts to minimise risk and improve commercial terms
* You will be working with and managing the main Tier 1 global vendors to the group
* Ensure stakeholders adhere to the group procurement policy
* Best possible service delivery, quality of service/product with best commercial value in mind
Experience and requirements:
* Worked within the Airline, Aviation or Aviation Manufacturing industries
* Have experience in, or been involved in relevant categories; Engines, APU or Nacelles
* Able to handle being responsible of senior level responsibility which is key for the company
* Worked in a complex set up, global and matrix organisation
* Experience in managing and working with senior level stakeholders up to C-Suite
* Proven strategic procurement experience, designing high value category strategies
* MCIPS or Degree – nice to have, not essential
